  • Interesting section on PBI. Being that excel guy now in power BI, I will share that for me PBI is a much faster and stable running program for analyzing data. It is changing how we share information, and people in my org love the ownership of there dashboard, updated vs. another emailed excel book to figure out. For the excel person trying to figure out BI, it would help to learn Dax well w/in excel power pivot.. pivots are the filter context. From there, PBI desktop becomes a smaller leap. Imagine power pivot but w a graphical emphasis vs. reporting. I will say, the program is catching up quickly.. it runs very fast and stable, and when they bring a more developed pivot table, I’ll be probably 80% PBI, 20% Excel.
