About this course
Excel Dashboard Pro is the flagship Excel TV course, based on Jordan Goldmeier’s book Dashboards for Excel. It is the deep, opinionated version of dashboard-building — not “drop in a few charts” but a systematic approach to information design in Excel, from the underlying formulas through to the visual grammar of the final report.
The course teaches you to think outside the cell. You will use the Camera Tool, write formulas that drive presentation as well as calculation, master Excel Tables and form controls, and build interactive elements — legends, chart toggles, and full dashboards — that respond to user input without VBA. The visual half of the course covers data-viz fundamentals, the Gestalt laws of grouping, preattentive attributes, bullet charts, and infographic-style dashboards built entirely from Excel primitives.

- Use VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and array formulas to power dynamic displays
- Build with Excel Tables for self-extending data ranges
- Use form controls (option buttons, scroll bars, drop-downs) to make dashboards interactive
- Construct interactive legends, chart toggles, and fully interactive dashboards
- Apply data-visualization principles to chart selection and layout
- Build bullet charts, dual-axis charts, area-banded charts, and infographic-style displays

About the instructor
Jordan Goldmeier is the author of Dashboards for Excel (Apress), co-founder of Excel TV, and a former Microsoft MVP. He has built dashboards for Booz Allen Hamilton, EY, Dealer Tire, and DataKind, and teaches financial-modelling and data-visualization at Full Stack Modeller.
